Mark your calendars! With April right around the corner, planning for the 2nd annual Mountain Fiesta is in full swing.

Mr. Greene, Spanish students, and World Culture Club members are working hard to ensure a great event for the community. The Mountain Fiesta will be hosted in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee, on April 21st, from 11 AM to 5 PM. This event is a celebration of Latin American and Appalachian culture, created and expressed by sharing opportunities to interact and learn about the beauty and diversity of Latin America. The Mountain Fiesta will offer free admission to those who attend.

Mr. Greene writes, “[The Mountain Fiesta] is organized and supported based on the understanding that our community – our world – is a better place when we celebrate diversity; when we celebrate each other.”

The Mountain Fiesta features free concerts, professional dance classes, craft demonstrations, and many other activities. Latin American art will be displayed around the event. Food vendors will be stationed outside of the event featuring food from Appalachia and Latin America that you won’t want to miss. Come support our students, and celebrate the beauty and diversity all around us!
